Original call from (337) 391-2042 “Jason” identified himself as calling from “United Healthcare Marketplace”. After the standard brief chat, he transferred me to a “licensed agent” claiming to be with “health enrollment centre” - Unfortunately, with that Male person I had a disconnection.
When reconnected, a Lady answered and I asked for a callback number in the case we get disconnected she told me to call (800) 319-4258 and when I asked for her extension she told me her ext number was 1550, although I didn’t catch her name. Same script/exact same scam as this "american health marketplace" / "health enrollment centre" - "AMBETTER" policy pretty much under a different shady business entity name.

Lady claims to be “community health choice” and AFFILIATED with “united healthcare marketplace”
She told me the actual number for “United Healthcare Marketplace” is (800) 657-8205. There is an option 2 for sales reps though. Also, lady told me they don’t have a manager somehow. However, she asked if I wanted to speak to them so I asked her to transfer me over - “Ethan” answered and claimed to not be affiliated.
Calling the (800) 657-8205 number provided, the ivr menu bot claims you are calling “United Health One”. Pressing 5 for “ALL OTHER CALLERS” then pressing 4 to “speak to someone about purchasing” because at this point it don’t matter, we just want to talk to a human. IVR Menu bot says you are calling “United Healthcare” press 4 for “all other questions” press 1 if you are looking for “medicare plan” just remain on the line. A lady answered and confirmed I’ve reached “United Healthcare Marketplace” BINGO!
However, when the lady transferred me upon my request to reach a manager - a bot automatically thanked me for calling and explained a manager is not currently available at this time and to leave a voicemail and I’ll get a callback by the following business day or something like that. So, I’ve left a voicemail for once and we’ll see what happens. @scamterminator2021
Based on the information provided, these robocallers appear to be affiliated with Sierra Insurance. Quite likely, they are using offshore call centers or even domestic ones to generate leads by placing numerous illegal robocalls in violation of TCPA. Here is the info on Sierra Insurance with the affiliated telephone number 800-319-4258:
@MehNamesJeff: I suggesting complaining to them about illegal robocalls and presenting evidence of such calls. Their email is [email protected]. It appears that the name of the owner is Antonio “Tony” M. Sierra and the name of the CEO is Rosilee Gamboa.
I have not either. They are one of small shitty and unethical resellers of insurance who may be employing the tactic of using illegal robocalls to victims of their spamming, based on what you have communicated here. Why else would anyone be calling TNs on the Federal DNC in violation of TCPA?
Actually, they are calling my Talkatone - which is primary american number at this time - and costs a few pennies (cents as they say there) spare change to swap. My textnow on the other hand, I regularly change so no point. Although, could go around putting all my textnow numbers I get on the DNC list, or something like that - so that then whoever is the next person to pickup my old textnow number already was added to the dnc list. I did put down my TN too with the other marketplace scammers in the other post from the email exchange I had yesterday because why not?
Yes, I am positive that (800) 657-8205 is legit and it is a real UHC. It appears like they are not at fault for anything. It seems like your robocalls were from (800) 319-4258, and this is this Sierra Insurance.
I advise you call them out on their alleged illegal telemarketing practices.
Also, I think it would be very beneficial to report illegal behaviors of these robocallers to UHC here:
It is on their website. You can just Google it. I am fairly positive United Health Care is a huge company and they won’t be placing robocalls to you. However, I think this smaller shitty reseller does it. Plus, they gave you Sierra’s number
Interesting. Although, as you can see above - original caller stated they were “United Health Marketplace” before transferring me elsewhere. Then the others gave me that 4258 number, which led to the other line claiming to be with “community health choice” (whoever the fuck they are, probably another similar scam bunch) and said they were AFFILIATED with the original company in question - “United Healthcare Marketplace” before ultimately giving me the 8205 number and those there claiming to be in fact from this particular “marketplace” called “united healthcare”.
So, the original caller was an impersonator - but sierra and co are definitely scammers - or what?? I’m kinda confused now lol, ngl. Tryna figure out what’s what here.
You should also report serious concerns about someone robocalling illegally to sell United Health Care insurance to the leadership team of the UHC. Their emails appear to be as follows (some may bounce due to internal restrictions):
I think Sierra is not a scam, but they are a reseller of United Health Care insurance, hence the reason for calling themselves “United Health Marketplace”. I think they are probably using illegal robocalls to boost sales. A lot of small crappy companies like that do it.
Email United Health Care and complain about illegal robocalling from an entity that appears to be Sierra. I shared emails with you. There is also a link to file fraud complaint. I also shared the evidence of this TN placing numerous illegal robocalls
Oh, just share concerns about their reseller breaking the law by placing numerous illegal robocalls, share telephone numbers, exact timing and names of people who you spoke with. Also, tell them that these people may possibly be impersonating United Health Care. The latter is a huge company, so I bet they have a big legal team to hold such entities accountable
