Our favorite Student Loan Scammers are back

I have another # at 16025849042 working as of 10:36 AM PDT

I confronted them on being a lead generator and asked them what their company really is called but the last woman I talked to just laughed while repeating their script over and over again. I assume all their calls are recorded and their management must be cracking down.

But I know now for sure they're located in Irvine. Normally even though they use illegal telemarketing practices these places are usually still incorporated legally. So I've been trying to search telemarketing/lead brokers services on https://secure.cityofirvine.org/websearch/ but no such luck yet.

@urlaub14#92563 this no from 14 days ago is active again 19492396270

but it seems to be a different student loan scam (?) Atleast I just get a guy and he’s not like the receptionists

@NeeP#94785 Yes that’s Students Loan Services LLC out of Santa Ana at 19492396270. They’re not the ‘receptionists’ lead generator. But they are 1 of the 2 scam companies the ‘receptionists’ sell leads and transfer callers to.

Fun fact about them is they’re FTB suspended. So aside from using an illegal lead generator they have no legal right to do business anyway. :P

Usually in California a company gets suspended if they don’t pay their taxes or don’t file paperwork on time.

@NeeP#94785 I got a guy on the line that was confused and defensive over the vulgar nature of the call. I used a soundboard on this one.

Pissed NYC Lady Calls A Student Loan Scammer : Mobie Baxter : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive

@OutboundOperator#94804 Haha to be fair he and his his office don’t call people.

The 3rd party lead Generator call center his company hires who say they’re ‘receptionists’ make the illegal robocalls and VM drops baiting people to call them and then they transfer the baited caller to him.

@urlaub14#94810 Yeah I totally understand what you mean. Basically I use soundboards on scammers with accusatory quotes to confuse and/or agitate them. lol

I’ve tried so many things to get this lead generator to say who the hell they are. Call connections, spam calls, straight up asking, etc. But they won’t. They either lie or just repeat their script over and over again.

I found this job posting today and I wonder if it could be them. Their description and location matches like 90%.

Now is says “not in service” when I tried again. Sneaky!

Update: Students Loan Services LLC recently graciously cooperated and I was able to get the identity of the Lead Generator they use for live transfers (a.k.a. the ‘I’m just a receptionist’ people).

Lead Generators usually have complex and sketchy business structures so the call center in Irvine, CA that houses our friends might be just one that they in turn hire or it could be their own. They still lie a lot but I'm wondering if I say the name of the company next time I talk to them maybe they'll flinch haha.

However, they accept payments from their customers (who are Student loan scam companies) by wire transfer with an office just across the border and it seems they might be doing this to avoid US Corporate income tax.

@urlaub14#95682 damn man! If that’s the correct info from them it would be a sensation!

Great job!

Yup! They had another DID they were using 16018752675 but both now are down and go to IVR "Thank you for calling you have reached us after business hours".

I've been having a little email chat with Fortress Leads (the company that Students Loan Services and Student Forms pay for these Live-Transfer leads) and pretending to be interested in their lead generation service for my own fake company.

It looks like that this call center that houses our receptionist friends isn't theirs directly but they do have a 3rd-party relationship with them. In my latest contact I'm hoping 'Mike' will finally reveal who they are.

LOL on what planet can you use passive consent to agree to have your phone blow up. That has not been tested in court.

There is no monetary exchange going on, aka "consideration" which is what the creditors use when trying to tie your hands into consent for robodialing.

So this entire business exists off of a very flimsy legal theory.

@urlaub14#102220 I don’t get how they get all these details from the customers. I mean they certainly use Google Analytics and maybe a tracking pixel. But all these things are rather anonymized. You cannot track or identify individuals and even more, you cannot get their phone number or any information that is outside of the realm of visiting that website.

I think the people must fill in the contact form or else how would they get the phone number etc?

Interesting finds btw

@urlaub14#102220

Hello I just joined this site after googling info for this company. I have sent legal demand letters to the email addresses I found but have not heard back from them. Has anybody been able to make successful contact with Student Loan Services LLC? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The feds finally caught up with our discovery of this company almost 5 YEARS AFTER I started digging into their company, have seized their assets, and banned them from the debt relief industry. What would we do without them
