The scammer asked for my name and email address and to go to support.me (Code: 346729, Amit) to “connect to the Norton Secure Server.”
Once Amit remotely connected to my virtual machine, he wanted me to log into my Norton account and have them run msinfo32.
Amit then tried to register me for a 3-year Norton subscription with “technical suppoat” for $499 by providing my location and card details through the remote support client.
Amit also suggested that I make a lifetime subscription for $899 through mypcmagic.us, so I instead played him the bhenchod song.
