BobRTC has rolled out a new feature for account validation. This update increases site security. You will be given a password and will be asked to join our Account Validation Discord server. Once you join, you will be given directions to get your 6 character validation key. Enter this validation key on BobRTC and back to scambaiting you go!
Some browsers like Opera may not load the page after you correctly enter your Pass Key.
Pressing F5/refreshing the page fixes it.
This was the only option to allow VPNs going forward. It was either do some enhanced validation like this or block VPNs. We value your privacy so had to make this hard choice. If you are unable to pass the validation check please reply to this thread. There were some unnamed bad actors that have caused this new system to be put in place. We are not pointing fingers, hopefully we can all move forward.

Just wanted to let anyone using Chrome to know that a Refresh didn't do the trick for me in getting the page to load after validation.
On the other hand, opening a single new tab -> closing all other currently open tabs -> Ctrl + H -> Clear all history from the beginning of time does the trick.

Goddamn. I cant get the code because of my thing that happended in the server. Looks like its the end. It was a nice adventure.
I am not a happy camper. I am not able to figure out how to even use the this new system. The directions are not understandable. I have no idea where to type what I need to type, or how to get the six digit key, and once i get it, I have no idea where type it. HELP!
Here are the only directions I have with my comments: To get your two factor authentication key, please type !getkey in this channel…(Where in the channel do I type it? I can’t find any place to type it._
The bot will then DM you asking for your key. Please send the bot the code provided to you on the site with NO MODIFICATIONS! (Where do I send it?) After you get the code correct and the bot sends your token, you will be kicked from this server. (How do I get a token?)

I was able to do all steps, but BobRTC still not working for me. Can mods help? I am using on my Android
@hoosierguy#121327 The !getkey command you type in the Discord channel.
If you cannot type in the Discord channel it is because you have not completed Discord's own 2-factor authentication. Once you do this part you can then type in that channel. The validation bot will then DM you asking you for the passcode (it's in big font) on BobRTC.
When you give the bot the passcode in DM, the bot will give you back a 6 digit pass key. This is what you enter in the BobRTC Account Verification screen. Once you do this you're done and do not have to do it again.
Your 2-factor information is kept at Discord and we can't see any part about that over on BobRTC. The reason why we have implemented this is to slow down the rash of alt accounts that are being created to evade shadowbans.

I’m Using Bob on a PC, or was until now… LOL
Somehow, I accidentally got a point where I was told to check my email for a code.
But that code never arrived. Never did get it to accept my phone number.
I asked the suppoat bot for help and was told it was because I didn’t type !getkey into the page.
But there is no place to type into the page.
Not upset with 2FA at all. It’s probably a good idea.
But understanding how to jump through all the hoops is more than frustrating

Since we bypassed you manually until you complete a Discord 2FA we cannot permit you to enter phone numbers into the BobRTC phonebook, but other than that your account will behave normally.
