I was the one spammed with calls, and I meant that as they were trying to reach me after I got their email and dipped. It was not robocalls, just the agent trying to get back. I can’t find the call logs rn but I will try and find them after a meeting
I checked all my logs and nothing saved as they didn’t leave any voicemails. They called me like 5-6 times, that was all the spam was. Idk why no one else above couldve just said they took it from my post…
And besides they call 6 times??
It sounds like they are desperate for a victim.
professionally 1 call back would be acceptable NOT 5 or 6 calls like they need a victim
I SAY IT AGAIN
BAN ALL TRAVEL OFF THIS FORUM.
They spammed their own reddit page, not any public subreddit. Not to mention it’s hard to tell when exactly the posts were made since they were made 3 years ago. There might be a way to seen when exactly, but I’m not a redditor so I don’t know.
unprofessionalism does not equate to scam. If that were the case, legitimate businesses would see their numbers flooded onto this site. Lets also remember that this is currently a legal matter, and as there is no proof since the logs are gone due to them not leaving voicemail, my word really doesn’t bare much. Besides, whether or not 6 calls is excessive or not, professional or not, is down to personal opinion here.
And advocating for an entire subgenre of scam types to be removed from the forum is very, bad? Like just because your evidence for a scam is different from the forums, who has to deal with the legal consequences and issues, does not justify removing it. There are 100% travel scams posted here bi-weekly at this point, should we not target those scammers??
I’ve been debating making a post about the idea of adding a “shady” category as well, for companies that aren’t conclusively a scam, but extremely shady. But I don’t think it would work out here, especially with how trigger happy some people are in terms of just calling them and doing a little trolling and not investigating the company.
Mind explaining why the business registration number on the letter sent to Thunder was not only incorrect, but in the wrong format? Not only that, but they say they’re located in Edison, NJ but their actual business registration number is through the state of Texas?
Oh wait, how would I know that if apparently I don’t do my research?
I just explained it. Go to the State of New Jersey Dept. of Treasury webpage, and look up Travel Trivia for yourself. You will see that not only is it not the same business entity ID that is on the “cease and desist letter” sent by Travel Trivia (which is in the wrong format on said letter), but Travel Trivia’s business ID isn’t located in New Jersey. Business Name Search
It comes back to Strafford, TX. Which is strange because their business entity ID comes back to Sugar Land, TX. Not Strafford. The address to which they’re supposedly located is the same as a business called “House of Spice”. Draco called them, and spoke to someone there and they said that Travel Trivia had moved from that location. Yeah, because we don’t do our research, right? Also, why does Travel Trivia go by like three different business names? Fourway Travel, OfficeWind, Travel Trivia. All of it points to Travel Trivia not being legitimate.
“Press 6 for the Spanish line. They have basic amounts of Spanish probably from Spain. I started with basic words like (hola) and (como te llamas?), over time i asked them questions
like where they learned Spanish and started using more complex words like the names of different countries in Spanish they gave up after a bit and did not want more calls in Spanish. Only one dude had good enough Spanish to know i wanted a flight to Ukraine” - Stone2Bulletz 2 months ago
Yeah, that sounds so legitimate.
@MajorLeeAwesome Care to explain to Chronus the exhaustive efforts that would be required for an international business to try and seek litigation against scammer.info?
Meaning? A google search of that term turned up nothing relevant.
Regarding the address, I think you’re confusing stuff. Stafford, TX, is the location of Fourways Travel. Sugarland, TX, is the location for Travel Trivia. I’ve pulled the business records for this company:
They’re the same because they claim to be the same business. How come House of Spice said Fourway moved, then? That also doesn’t address the fact that the business entity ID on the letter sent was not only incorrect, it wasn’t even in the right format. That’s not even going in to numerous grammatical errors and typos in the “cease and desist letter” It looks like someone with a 4th grade education wrote it.
You explained it, just not well. You don’t show anything in your original message anyways. Either way, I went to that site and yea, comes up with the TX address. However you failed to notice the obvious, if you had done your research and read the notice they sent you would have clearly realized that they were in a joint venture with Fourway, who is in Stafford. Not to mention, Draco. Don’t believe a word he says, his word is just as reliable as a scammers. As for the three names, you are clearly wrong about Fourway, but where the hell is “OfficeWind” coming from? What does an Israeli based company have to do with Travel Trivia, can you provide proof they are connected?
Overall, it just seems like you don’t know what makes a travel agency legit or not. Nothing you have shown here, even if true, shows that the company at the very least is shady. Not a scam, thus not something for this forum. Not being fluent in Spanish when working for a Spanish helpline is not evidence of any shady business either, it’s just poor employee training and poor customer service.
Can you provide proof of this? And you changed your story. First you claimed Draco said it was Travel Trivia who moved, but now it’s Fourway? What’s the truth
