Here is the experience of another user: Caller said he was from Bank of America; asked for me by first & last name; asked if I had opened a Bank of America account yesterday in Texas (where I do not live) and then transferred funds via Zelle to “Jayson Valdez”; said it appears I’ve been a victim of ID theft and to call 855-219-4422 or I could go to B of A at 3565 California St. in San Francisco. I belive this all a scammer’s attempt to get me to call the 855 # and give my personal info since “Agent Daniel Soto” was unable to tell me what info he had access to and I would have to call #; he said they could also file a police report on my behalf. I replied that I will call or visit my local B of A branch and file my own report with local PD. He was very calm, very “authoritative” sounding and said that would be fine, but that I would need to call to stop “the transfers” immediatley.Call type: Scam Suspicion
