The scammers from Xanadu Marketing are back, making fraudulent cold calls under the business identity of “Personal Loan Locator.” A user on Robokiller already complained about being asked to provide their SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER and to purchase a prepaid gift card to “activate” their “loan.”

The company, alongside Starter Home Investing, Inc., Experian Information Solutions, Inc. and a handful of other defendants were sued for violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) in the Western District of Washington after the plaintiff, Nathen Barton, received several unsolicited text messages and cold calls while his number was on the do-not-call registry. The case was filed on August 23, 2021, and a trial is ongoing at the time of writing.

Blacklist; Scam I spoke to an Indian lady who said I could borrow between $400.00-$10,000 but got stuck at the point where she wanted to send me a confirmation e-mail. I don’t really have a throw away account set up or I would have played along.
