I checked to make sure before I post and it didn’t show up.
No worries… It happens.
The best thing that needs to happen is a standard way on submitting numbers, and it be a rule that everyone must follow.
Not sure why everyone likes adding their own little touch when adding numbers. Not syaing you do, or the other poster but just saying in general.
I couldn’t possibly agree with you more. I’ve contacted the powers that be several times asking to do exactly that.
About three years ago, we all agreed to post numbers in the format of:
XXX XXX-XXXX and I’ve always stuck with it. I’m not sure what happened after that, but it became the wild West. 
Apparently the format XXX XXX-XXXX isn’t a format… it’s more like a loose suggestion, the way “speed limit” is a suggestion on the Autobahn.
Some people use parentheses, some use dots, some use dashes, and a few seem to just slam their forehead on the keyboard and hit post. It wouldn’t surprise me if I saw posts in Roman numerals, ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics, and possibly one in cuneiform carved into wet clay.
At this point the site isn’t a list of phone numbers — it’s a linguistic anthropology project documenting every punctuation style invented since 3000 BC.
All all they asked for is XXX XXX-XXXX… not a Da Vinci Code puzzle that requires three historians, a cryptographer, and the Rosetta Stone to figure out if the number was already posted.
