- DirecTV Imposter Fraud: They impersonate DirecTV, contacting existing or potential DirecTV customers to offer nonexistent free services, then take consumers’ money (typically via prepaid gift cards).
- IPTV Box Scheme: They sell illegal IPTV boxes that provide unauthorized access to premium content. The boxes are stored at their residential address and shipped via USPS. They charge approximately $150 upfront plus $20 monthly fees.
- Credit Card Fraud: They reportedly maintain a database of customers’ credit/debit card information and charge small unauthorized amounts that often go unnoticed or unreported by victims.
- Call Center Operations: They run a call center in Lahore, Pakistan that handles sales and customer support for these illegal operations.
- Solar Energy Fraud: This business has also been involved in deceptive and fraudulent practices related to solar energy. California-based company Solar Insure (www.solarinsure.com/cosmo-solaris) has announced they are filing a lawsuit against Cosmo Solaris for deceptive and fraudulent practices. According to their public announcement, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has been informed and legal action has been requested.
