Winners of the BobRTC bot contest

I’m pleased to announce that we have a winner of the BobRTC bot contest originally posted by @iScam , two winners actually.

Congratulations to @bobHasAvirus and @jackburton , both of your submissions are now available on BobRTC: Bonzi Buddy can be invoked by pressing
88
during a call, and Rohim can be invoked by pressing.

The testing method used to decide which ones were going to be added had to be altered unfortunately. We didn't end up having them interact with actual scammers mostly due to submissions which were incorrectly named, formatted, and/or contained audio clips which had little to no audible words, just noises etc. Submissions were instead chosen based on quality, BobRTC staff opinions, but most importantly, whether the bots actually made sense to use against scammers and had clips which could be played in-order to create an actual conversation with someone.

Submissions from others still may be available on the site in the future, as we've acquired enough bots that a separate menu/method for bringing them into a call will be needed soon. Also, one or two of the older bots may be replaced soon (Dippers for example).

Side note: Thank you to both of the winners for correctly formatting and naming your submitted audio files, and specifying any specific functions you'd like them to have. Any requests made (such as where to repeat and when to play random files) have all been honored. It made implementing them much easier.

Events like this may be again held in the future, so keep your eye out for new posts regarding BobRTC.

Thank you
