These are windows refund scammers using text now i thik 916 888 3696
They answered as windows refund then lie when confronted.
Just spent two and a half hours on the phone with “David”. I convinced them I went all the way to the bank. Got their bank info and was able to grab an identity document (aadhaar) from govt of india if anyone wants to do anything with it hmu

i had refund scammers calling me all day today, on my actual phone
i usually answer and waste a bit of their time, talk and wait until they ask something like SSN, then claim i have to go grab my card. set the phone down and just never return. i really get a kick out of it when they occasionally stay on the phone for an extended period, shouting "HALLOW!"
just more recently i started doing my best (which is not good) old lady voice whenever i answer a call i suspect is a scammer
it is insane how much more responsive they are to this. i had one place a couple months back add me to some list of people they just called repeatedly over and over, just based on me seeming somewhat receptive, and using the old lady voice. i cant suggest strongly enough for others to try this also
anyway, the reason i felt compelled to mention this now, was i had a scammer recognize i was some dude putting on an elderly woman's voice, for the first time. or maybe he had called me before so he knew what was up, who can say.
we talked just briefly, i was answering him affirmatively, and he gave me a "get lost" and hung up, lol
