Had another popup claiming my PC is infected. The number is 1-877-778-0127

sounds like a single person operation. It took him quite some time to answer the phone and then it didn’t sound like there are more people.

Perhaps it is a single person, or at least a very small team. OwnagePranks on YouTube had a video trying to raise awareness of tech scams. He managed to get a scammer to stay on the line and admit some specifics of his operation, and in his case he was working in a team of 4 people.

Anyway, I went back in my browser history for this popup window and it came up with a different number.
The new number seems to be 1-877-424-0111
