They probably knew you were going to call them. LoL
Scammers don’t often leave their numbers active for very long. Mostly because we (scambaiters) hammer them it becomes a losing battle for them. It’s a bit of a cat and mouse game. If you don’t get to them early, they go back into hiding in whatever sewer they inhabit.
Strike while the iron is hot is the best advice I can give you.
Scammers play a very delicate game. They work deliberately to avoid detection, and thus, will often remove numbers to ensure that they are not being tracked by any organization or attacked by any form of opposition, including scam baiters. This is especially true for tech support numbers. I recommend only using numbers posted within the first five minutes when it comes to Microsoft scams, but most will be good for at least an hour.
When it’s up and running (it’s currently down for work) I use the scammer hotline that’s been posted in the forum, it’s really helpful for connecting to scammers effectively.
I think call flooders are active today
Some are there, yes. It’s lovely to send 2,000 calls to these guys at once lol.
