Similar to TextNow, seeing as I can’t access that whilst I’m in the UK, anymore, whilst they’ve tightened down on the rules - What other web-based programs, in particular, can I use that allow sign ups, and provide a free USA number allowing you to receive inbound calls & texts as well as allow you to make outbound calls and texts of course, preferably for free?
I have now upgraded my PC finally!!! - I’m hoping to be able to record calls from my PC now, maybe make some proper occasionally scambaiting content and the likes!
(P.S: Textfree is partially available to me - but their website version apparently doesn’t support calls, only texts, at present which is weird for what it’s supposed to function as really… Meanwhile the app ITSELF supposedly isn’t available in my region according to Google Play Store lol.@MajorLeeAwesome )
Yes, I already use that and it’s currently the only one I have.
Funny enough their TOS states it’s not meant for use outside of the USA/CANADA last time I checked a couple of weeks ago but they seem to turn a blind eye and aren’t actually enforcing it - which is good for me.
I need like a free pbx (or something) - ever since good old bobrtc.tel went down for good it sucked ass and I can’t seem to find anything like it.
If I had the technical background, time and finances, I would make a PBX server that people could just use.
Bobrtc was brilliant, for the short time I got to use it, but I suspect the costs of maintaining the thing were just a bit ridiculous.
Still, if somebody ever took it upon themselves to make something like it again, I would donate what I could to keep the project running.
