Hey guys, out of curiosity I wanna know what computers you guys use. Or what specs your computer has.
@Ryan#64869 I use a Acer Spin 5.
Core i7-7th gen, 14GB DDR4, 250GB M.2 SSD
VM Software: Oracle VM VirtualBox
@Markiemm#64876 wow shit man gr8 that you’re using state of the art technology
@Tails#64877 nice! 14 GB of ram is plenty! Plus an M.2 SSD! You should consider getting a hardrive in the future tho. 250GB may sound like enough but in the future you might run out of space, especially if you’re gonna have more VMs stored in your computer ![]()
AMD A6-6420K APU with Radeon Graphics
AMD Radeon HD 8470D
8 GB of DDR3 RAM
1tb Mechanical Harddrive
MSI Military Grade Motherboard

17 inch laptop (aka desktop replacement)
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz, 4001 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX 1060 GPU with 6GB GDDR5
Samsung SSD 960 Evo 500GB m.2 NVMe, 500 GB
16GB SODIMM RAM
I can have 4 VMs running at the same time with no bottle necks. My VMs are all Win7. Host OS is Win10 Pro.
@reportingscammers007#65187 woah
@Ryan#65188 Yea, its a beast. Check out Eluktronics, they sell Clevo based laptops. Reasonably priced, too.
@Ryan#64869 My computer that I’m getting (building) will have.
i3-8100
GTX 1050 (2GB)
8GB of DDR4
@Ryan#64869 8gb of ram
Intel Core i5
NVidia GeForce Zotac 1050
For creating Virtual Machines I use VMWare
@Garysons#65199 seems good. I suggest you upgrade to an i5 tho instead of keeping the i3. Its better for productivity. you dont have to upgrade now tho as computer building tends to be a gradual thing.
@Markiemm#65212 very nice!
i dont use computer.
@Ryan#64880 Whoops, I made a mistake with the RAM size.
Apologies.
It’s 16GB instead of 14GB and VMs run smooth as a whistle. and I have an external USB 3.x HDD.
