(845) 347-2289 has been shut down by Sinch. The number was actually a RingCentral number based on the disconnection message.
Meaning, RingCentral will sometimes use residential numbers from the Onvoy pool which routes through the Sinch network. A lot of these scams that say “Onvoy” when the looked up are actually on different telecoms. Onvoy is not a telecom. It is a pool that various telecoms grab numbers from but they all get routed through the Sinch network. Carriers like Vonage, Text Now, Go Text Me, Text Plus, Pinger and RingCentral will all sometimes use Onvoy numbers for residential numbers. If you are able to find an Onvoy number used by such telecoms, just go directly to them instead of through Sinch. In the case of RingCentral sadly, you have to use the Sinch webform since RingCentral has dozens of email addresses for fraud but none are activley monitered. RingCentral has also been known to use Bandwidth numbers as well.
