@Theresachemin3#155043 Verified as Fake Chase at 1423 CT USA. They want you to enter your debit card and all sorts of personal info so that they can “reinstate” your card. They are definitely trying to get everything in your bank account.

@JusticeinTexas#155097 ugh that’s so sick it’s so funny how I get these text messages randomly and I don’t even have or ever had chase as a bank is it just like an automated text messaging system they have that sends the same text to tons of people?
@Theresachemin3#155198 Yes, it is very sick. They send out thousands in the hope that perhaps 1% will fall for it and panic. They ask everything about you including your SSN and the pin number to your account and usually have you speak your name. Then you find out that you have been cleaned out and there is absolutely nothing that you can do. There is nothing too low that these people will not stoop to. If they would put some of the effort that they use to scam people into a legitimate enterprise, think about how much they could accomplish. Thank you for the post and feel free to ask me anything, my friend. ; )
@JusticeinTexas#155220 thank you I appreciate your response, I feel like it’s very informative to know for people that can tend to be so easily fooled by something like this, it’s like a different way of trying to scam someone rather than them calling someone over the phone , a text can seem more personal to most who don’t really talk on the phone and would rather text & certainly wouldn’t be expecting a text like that to be a scam, but yes they definitely do not stop at anything to try to take advantage of people. I’ve entered my phone number into the “do not call registry” awhile back but it really didn’t make a difference which is disappointing but I’m glad I know and recognize what a scam is it’s just unfortunate for those who aren’t always aware.
