Verizon Services Refund - 888-863-0777

Funny one this is… guy just answered hello. I did the ‘missed call from this number’ bit and asked who I was speaking with. He answered “Eric”. Grr… I said, no, what COMPANY do you work for. He wouldn’t tell me and instead wanted my name. I finally got it out of him that he works for “Verizon”. Told him that i didn’t have anything to do with Verizon, so why would they be calling me? Asked for my name and I gave him one.

He gets back on the phone and says that there were some Verizon services that were purchased on my behalf. I asked how he even got my phone number since I'm not a customer, and he said it was part of the purchase transaction that they currently have on hold, and if want to cancel it. I was sort of being resistant to the whole thing and giving him a hard time - but he was handling it pretty well.

Then out of the blue, I guess as things were starting to get a little into the weeds technically, he asked if I knew what "IP" stood for. I replied "Well, depending on context, it could either mean 'intellectual property' or 'internet protocol' - why are you asking?". He mumbled something that I couldn't really make out, so I fired off at him, do you know what "TCP" stands for? He went sideways an asked "What is that?". I said "TCP... you know, the part before the 'IP' in 'TCP/IP' - you apparently know what the IP stands for, do you know what the TCP stands for"? He said he didn't and asked me to tell him, __please__! I refused, and he about begged me to tell him. Told him that he and his fake Amazon job can shove it, and he should find a better job or get a real education, then hung up.

Hey - it's a toll free number - so it's costing them, not us :) Have fun.

They are now amazon scamming, called them and asked if it was verizon. They said it was amazon.

They ask some questions about why you’re calling to make sure you’re not a baiter. Did a quick google search, the product is a Microsoft Surface Pro for $1999.99 purchased from Amazon, they also ask for an order number but you don’t have to give one, just find a way to dodge it
