Many ScamBaiters might try using Skype to ScamBait, but get discouraged when they try the number and can’t get through.
The initial thought is "The scammers are blocking Skype!".
Perhaps so, but here is an odd peculiarity that I have found to be true with about 90% of scammers that have supposedly blocked Skype calls.
When you get a recording that your call cannot go through, hang up and try again. You will get the same recording again.... just hang up and call again. Do so about 5-6 times.
You might find this interesting: You will often find that on the 6th or 7th attempt you actually get through!!
Then you might get the "Your call cannot be connected" (or whatever) recording a few times again thereafter, but don't give up. Keep at it.
Here's where it gets even more interesting! After about 15 calls you will rarely get the message again. It is as if the ability to block Skype calls isn't that reliable. For the past 3 months that I have been using Skype across multiple computers to call flood scammers, it is rare that I find a scammer can can 100% block incoming Skype calls.
Try it yourself and post here if your personal findings. I would be curious if others here also find this to be the case.
