He gave up trying to connect to the computer when he couldn’t get Ultraviewer to run (my VM was running a version of Linux) and then after I made him wait a couple of hours, he called me back and switched to an attempt to collect credit card info. I insisted I new the banker personally and the CCs were not an issue in spite of all the supposed nefarious charges, but wanted him to fix the computer which he said had some kind of hacker problem. It was supposed to have resulted in the Windows Defender popup after all. My goal is never to let them know I’m scambaiting but to get them to think they might not be competent, not to mention waste their time. LinuxFX running in a VM on Ultramarine OS (a new fork of Fedora.) I never edit so you get the raw experience and there may be some background conversations.
