Unclosable Popup

I setup a popunder ad from popcash on a test blog and tested it with Firefox and ended up getting a scam tech support popup after awhile.

Somehow, this popup prevented me from closing it even from task manager. I had to manually run the TASKKILL command to close firefox. Chrome closes it pretty easily, though.

Oh, also, does anyone have a link to the google chrome fraud link reporting site. And also, do you guys know if there’s a firefox equivalent?

@johnmaked#41171 It would be Mozilla.

Have seen a few such browser-lock & CPU / RAM saturator Popups.

Replace the protocol part including the double-slashes with
view-source:
Then Append the rest of the URL
Paste the new entire URL in the Address bar
If you see a For ...
Loop, it's one of these types.

@johnmaked#41171 Correction, it seems google runs the security for firefox.

This is a good link: https://decentsecurity.com/#/malware-web-and-phishing-investigation/

The problem is that when ever you press “cancel” or “ok”, it’ll open another window with another credential box. So, it ends up being impossible to ever close the credential box. It’s like a fucking hydra.

And there was never a "don't show popups from this domain" checkbox.
