Surely that’s an American number not a UK number. So you’d dial +1 800 029 1872 ?
"Toll Free" is an Americanism for their 0800 numbers
If it was a UK 0800 number it'd be "Freephone"
@abcd1234#102295 we only have a “toll-free number” tag which means any number that is free to dial so we can’t make a difference between “toll-free” and “freephone” on scammer.info tag system.
0800 numbers exist in every country I think. Since he stated it’s a UK number I guess it’s one but I didn’t try.
@NeeP#102298 I’m looking at the actual pop-up from the scammer website which says “Toll free”.
This suggests it's aimed at an American audience as we don't have "Toll Free" numbers in the UK. We have Freephone 0800 numbers.
Anyway I tried ringing it as a UK number and it doesn't exist.
@abcd1234#102349 Scammers don’t understand different countries phone systems too well. It’s a UK number and you might have to drop the first 0. The BobRTC link i posted was working at the time I posted it. Kenzo and I talked to a few scammers. Right now they’re not picking up but might in a few more hours.
