Additional information about this scam: Missed call, claimed to be from PayPal subpoat. Asked if this was “Mr Patel” I said yes (OF COURSE NOT). Told me do I remember him on the phone with me and my non-existent wife about a transaction being cancelled, yesterday? I told him yes, (of course not!) He told me apparently the money had not yet been refunded or something, he said he’d call me again tomorrow and talk to me some more. Guess he was double checking the number was active or something first. I’ll update tomorrow. Refused to call me back, he is calling my PAYG Spare Phone so I’m on credit FYI.
Number supplied by Colt Technology yet again, I wish all the victims could sue them for knowingly supplying numbers to criminals.
