Additional information about this scam: I assume a popup, I said I needed help with an alert on my computer and it had their number on it, he said ‘wot exaclty were you doin wen you got dis alert’ so my guess, popup.

Yeah typical tech support popup scam. Uses “awesun remote desktop” which is a new one to me.

When I posted the number here, I reported it to Bandwidth with a recording, they said it wasn’t on their network, I asked them to check and it seems it was, they then told me their customer had asked or timestamps for the recording, I make so many calls and so many recordings I forgot respond so the number has been used to defraud vulnerable people for weeks. I’ve sent them a link to this post and a link to who called me where there are many more reports.
It really shouldn’t be this way.
