Hi All, logged in after a while. Trying to be active again, another family member got scammed recently. Consumer behavior is a big reason why these scams flourish. Has anyone thought about creating videos to educate consumers?
I’ve tried my hands at doing more “educational” scambait videos, but I really have a voice for the silent movie scene and the editing skills of a monkey with a keyboard.
I’m doing weekly bait compilations that not only serve to entertain my viewers, but also inform them about the scams in action, the actions we’re taking to address them, etc.
Well, last year my grandpa was scammed and recently one of our acquaintances met with the same fate. These scammers are getting smart. They are able to forge partnerships and convince google that they are legit companies. As a front, they seem to be harmless resellers of a security product but when you dig in, you start realizing that their partnerships are fake, company addresses, and phone numbers are not legit either. Recently I uncovered a company that runs fake Mcafee and Norton ads on google, is operated out of Pakistan and their site is driverprintersales.com. They disable their site during off hours but cometh the hour, the scammers start running ads on google. Type Norton Help and you will see the darn scammer. It will be enjoyable to see them exposed.
