True Story - Why Scammers Scam! (Be Open Minded When Reading)

Now I’m not in anyway saying what these guys are doing is right but I wanted to get an inside look on why they scam. I called numerous scammer numbers and got some insight on whats really going on. A lot of them said due to the lack of jobs in India this is the only job they can get to support themselves and their family. They don’t even receive the money there scamming you for that goes straight to their bosses. They get paid daily and some get paid monthly. They ranged around from 700 - 800( rupees) which in US currency would go for 10 - 11 dollars. And I even asked if they could work in the United States and really work and earn money the right way would they?The one guy I was talking too said it would be a dream! I said why don’t you? He replied that the process that he would have to go through is standard but the amount he has to pay for the documentation and everything would come out too around 50,000 rupees which is about 730 US dolllars and quite diffucult to make with the cost of living their already. But alot of these guys are not the scammers they even said they dont like what they do because they know its wrong but it’s the only way to make money and support themselves due to the lack of jobs and corrupted system in india. This is not to make anyone stop prank calling them but just to give you guys the other side of the story and this is based on the few scammers I called in tech support department not saying this goes for all but just when I heard these guys telling how it is with a truly sincere voice I had to share this is crazy maybe if the system changes there than there wont be so much scammers.

@Vince91138702#37945 That is the same reply i got from other company as well.

That is why i always focus on Popup scammer because no one want to work with pop up scammer.Because the Pop up scammer creating pop up on the customer computer and creating a problem for most of the user.However there are some genuine company who works in genuine way,but i always hate the pop up scammer.It is also very difficult to find the pop up scammer technician because most of the technician regret to work to them.My main focus on those pop up scammer who work with them.

Your information is absolutely incorrect. These scammers average about $400 per scam.

Not the case with other scammers, I trolled one guy and he said our people are stupid and easy to scam and doesn’t remotely feel bad for it

To some extent, this story is true. It is also a sob story they get paid to tell you. Basically, the information is irrelevant. Whether working for yourself or for someone else, when you scam someone you are a thief. We can say the same about many Americans. The perception that all Americans are rich is flatly wrong. The victims of scams often have very little to offer. So yeah, life is tough in India. It’s tough in America, too. When you condone and are complicit with organize crime, you fuel it and do nothing to better anyone’s quality of life.

Modern day slavery exists today in many forms. Where are your shirts and shoes made? Not in a sweatshop, cause the American brand who oversees the production makes sure that's not happening right? Yup. Sure.

I would like to add my views on this topic. I am from India and this is my take on the excuses scammers make to justify the scams they do.

1.** Jobs are scarce in India** - I would not say jobs are scarce in India, but I think there is scarcity of people with good knowledge and skills in India. If you see, the number of people scamming is fairly negligible to the total population of India. So these are the folks who have decided to earn money the easy way. These are the people who didn't take efforts to study and create a skill-set that would make them employable. Scarcity of jobs in India is just an excuse which they tell themselves and others to get away with the crime they are doing to fell better at the end of the day.

2.**Earning 700-1000 rupees** - Lets say that they earn 1000 rupees per day and they work everyday. So that makes there monthly salary as 30,000 rupees. With the scammers living in major cities like Gurgaon, Noida, Kolkata and Mumbai, the average monthly expense would be around 25000-27000 rupees (without rent) ([Gurgaon Cost of Living](https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/in/Gurgaon), [Mumbai Cost of Living](https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/in/Mumbai) ). So if they say they only get 1000 rupees per day, they are actually making it barely through each month. This doesn't look feasible to me, so I assume they are lying about there income to make them look like the victim here, instead of the people they scam. Also @erikk77 pointed out the video by Jim Browning which clearly shows they earn more than what is in this post. They actually make quite a good sum of money each month which is why they are motivated to do what they do.

3.**Coming to US for job** - If they put some efforts in India, I don't see why they can't get descent jobs in India itself. But again these are the people who want to earn easy money and don't want to struggle to earn. I would not believe any word they say, for they are robbing people of the hard earned money.

4.Lastly I would say that no circumstances in life gives them the right to do what they are doing. These people have consciously made the choice to scam people. There are other opportunities in India too, but that would require them to actually work.

These are my personal thoughts on this matter.

@NoJaM#38023 What you mentioned is so true. During my visits to India I found many (not all) youngsters want to get rich overnight without putting the effort required in any field. They want to become Bollywood stars, famous cricket players etc. They never devote serious efforts. Also noticed many young men and women utterly vulgar. But on the other hand I did also meet youngsters who were respectable and had good jobs and were devoted to hard work.

I think on 2018 February 10 there were about 180K unfilled Government jobs alone in some Indian Official Gazette. Sure, these jobs won’t pay like Bollywood Stars or like Test Cricketers, they’re jobs nonetheless. < 0.01 % of any country could constitute scammers and other low-lives. If India has 100K scammers, there were about twice as many unfilled jobs, and this,reiterating, in Government sector alone!

One of their stock sob-stories is they're staving off hunger by scamming.

Some early twenties interviewees complain when they try cricket, the coaches break their backs, if they try auditioning for Bollywood, the directors break their backs. Sure not all such rejects take to scamming, many consider self-start-up entrepreneurs, like delivery services, and so many areas their interests and consciences take them.

Sitting at a call center, however, they only need to beware if their supervisor catches them, otherwise keep lying to victims on the phone and PC, not a whole-lot-of effort for the money they pocket.

@drwat You are right, lack of effort and dedication, and becoming rich overnight are the major cause for scammers to exists. Its also true that you can find both, people doing good and people who will go to any lengths to earn money in India (or anywhere in the world). Its nice that you have a broader perspective of this issue and acknowledge that these scammers are the bad apples in the basket and don’t form the majority :).

Bit more of my perspective. Even if people are poor in India growing up, if they work hard they can move to the US to turn around. Both my parents didn’t have that great conditions growing up but they worked hard and now both have decent jobs that pay very well and we live in good conditions here in Australia currently. So if the scammers are complaining about the conditions, it’s probably not because they have poor conditions, they just want the easy way out.

@Vince91138702#37945 This is all true. Most jobs in India will give you around $1. People have no choice but to scam. However, most scammers are very rude, only some are able to be nice.

@Devin_V#38056

Yea maybe if there were a more wide variety of jobs their wouldn’t be so many scammers trying to scam and yea probably cause most of them hate their job.

@Vince91138702#37945

I thought of this long before I heard it from someone else. I considered this very thing for awhile and was conflicted. I knew things are rough over there [I’m in the U.S.] and scamming would be available to anyone having difficulty finding honest work. It wasn’t until I watched several dozen videos and talked to many scammers myself that my compassion and conflict quickly dissolved and I began hating them like before.

There has been NO time that a scammer admitted to feeling bad about what they do. Every scammer without fail, when caught, will curse me, laugh, admit what he does, and/or attempt to destroy my machine. For that, they haven’t earned compassion or understanding. And I guarantee they make much more than 800 rupees!
