Dude asked if I submitted (inaudible) for a lawsuit. The usual, I asked if he was supposed to help me with my [NON-EXISTENT] Specific Camp Lejeune Lawsuit. He said YES. (Something happened in the house which prompted me to hang up, being a bit preoccupied tonight. If anyone would like to finish the bait and report any findings here be my guess).
Never heard of TTP. Must be an impersonation or a front for a fake law company, only scammers have my VoIP number (for the most obvious reasons). Furthermore, any information I could find, see below, is already turning up immediate red flags about the genuine status of the company in question.
They claim to operate out of https://maps.app.goo.gl/Zw2xAFkdnfk5rdFWA
7180 Pollock Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89119, United States - Located in: McCarren Center
The address leads to GEOTAB USA, INC with the website https://www.geotab.com attached. Supposedly a entirely separate entity that deals in/provides commercial telematics (whatever the hell that is lol). The building in question is also presently listed as a Corporate Office.
These individuals only deal with recipients of their calls, so I cannot investigate much further. The company was reported this past May and appears to be a subsidiary for AdSalient, LLC according to their Bizapedia listing.
Associated Phone Number - ‪(833) 971-1113‬ (Twilo)
I would very much like you to continue your investigation into Tort Intake Professionals & their partners if you could. They seemed legitimate when I talked to them a while back but if you can dig up something to prove otherwise, I more than welcome that endeavour.
I just called at 7:32 PM & began poking around again. The guy I talked to was just a low level employee & couldn’t really answer any of my questions regarding this new information that has come to light. He suggested I try calling back in the AM to speak with a manager. I just may do that.
Yeah, something is definitely up with these guys. The first lady I talked to was very condescending to say the least, but still made an attempt to answer questions up to a certain point. I asked her who gettort.com was & she said it was them. I asked how one entity could pose as 2 separate businesses & noted that that violates federal consumer protection laws. She said “Not if it’s a DBA.” I asked her when she was planning to disclose that information to me because I’m the one that had to bring it up to begin with. Her response was just to ask if I needed anything else.
I then asked her why the BBB has them listed in Wyoming & she stated that she knew nothing about that. I called her a liar at that point & stated that the BBB had their telephone number, & website correct but they got such a simple thing as their address wrong? She said that she couldn’t explain that. I told her the reason you can’t explain it is because you were caught in a lie.
I asked how she got my information & she said that I clearly submitted it online to them. I told her absolutely not & then she called me a liar & hung up!
The second guy I talked to didn’t know what a DBA was & I said to him “You’re stating that you’re a DBA who works for an attorneys office but you don’t know what DBA means & you can’t name any specific attorneys offices that you work with?” He of course hung up.
The next lady I talked to did the same thing when asking her what law office she represents.
The next lady (or it could have ben the same one) said she knew nothing about AdSalient either so I had to explain the connection with her company there & how their physical addresses didn’t really add up either. I asked her if anyone at that office was a certified legal aid & finally admitted that they weren’t after some attempted wordplay on her part. I then asked why anyone should trust a call center with no credentials to handle sensitive legal information? You can guess what she did next.
I’m still not convinced that this is entirely a scam though. Just because they hired a group of trained monkeys to act as their intake doesn’t necessarily mean that they are fraudulent. But the fact that the same company told my personally in the past that some of their numbers were “hacked” coupled with the information about their company name/ DBA name & odd physical addresses supplied here tell me you have uncovered something Jeff. I’m just not sure what yet.
At best they are working for a legitimate law firm. Probably with a horrid reputation. (But the second part of that statement is just speculation.) At worst they are flat out identity thieves/ fraudsters. I wish I could definitively tell you which one but I can’t
The old number I called them on last year is still up. 888-822-9872
