Time zone question, plus what to do when a carrier ignores traceback requests

I moved from the east coast to the west coast, but I kept my phone numbers.

It’s been months but the same telemarketers keep calling thinking I’m in the southern US. This means I have been getting calls as early as right around 5am PST. They always get reported to donotcall.gov but that appears to be so overwhelmed and understaffed that nothing gets done.

I’ve been out on the west coast for over 3 months. At what point is this considered additional damage as far as violating the TCPA? They are not supposed to call before 8am.

The other problem is the company my number is assigned to: bandwidth.com. I keep requesting tracebacks but they just ignore my dozens of email requests. Is there a procedure or something to get them to do a simple traceback on my own number that keeps getting calls I am being told are spoofed?

Ever get anywhere with this?

I’ve gotten a thousand calls from a caller ID spoofing call center. My number is with Google voice and I know that neither they nor Bandwidth of going to help with traceback.

I’m considering porting the number to a carrier if I can find one that gives a shit about helping with tracebacks.

I’m in the exact same situation. I’ve already had the runaround from Bandwidth who told me the same garbage. Google is a blackhole as well.

Bandwidth actually came back and told me “We have searched our records going back to June(06/2025), and were able to verify that none of the calls you have reported here were found to be coming Inbound to your TN via our Network. Therefore, we will be unable to assist further, but you may be able to reach out to your Service Provider, Google Voice for further assistance.”

I’ve been battling with Sinch Onvoy as well. Most of my complaints were just ignored but I finally got a response from their legal team, which was more of the same garbage about how they are not responsible.

Sinch did finally contact the service providers of their numbers that called me and told them to stop calling me. That blessed silence lasted 7 days and today the calls started back up again with the first one calling at 5:59AM from 6787742975, which was thru some carrier called Windstream Communications/Deltacom. Same call center, same IVR, same accents. The 2nd call came in at 7:54am. Third call came in while I was trying to type this response, and it’s not even 10am.

It’s super frustrating and I don’t really know what to do about it. In my case because the callers are using spoofed caller ID I don’t even know what carrier to contact.

Been arguing with Sinch Onvoy as well about this same group.

My emails show that I have filed 74 complaints so far with them, most of them never even get answered. My call log from what is likely the same call center you are being harassed by shows now 921 calls, nearly all of them from different numbers.

They do spoof at times, but it looks like they spoof numbers they used to, or currently lease from various carriers. Interesting little trick as they can use the number but the carrier says there was no traffic listed on it.

I just noticed on my Google Voice page there was a button in the upper right area labeled UPGRADE.

Apparently, for $10 a month you can upgrade to premium and get features like 24/7 access to Google Voice support and something called Desk phone support.

Has anyone tried this to see if they can do tracebacks, since this apparently gives you a phone number to their tech support?

I’ve considered it but decided not to because judging from their Google One customer service, Google customer service is super lousy even for paid services.

If there’s any company or carrier that helps with trace backs I want to port my GV number to them. But so far I’m not aware of any company that cares.
