Things we can or shouldn't say to scammers

I’ve been an active member here for almost two months now and will continue to scambait and post as many calls as I can. But I have a lingering question that some of you may be able to answer.

I am sometimes asked "where did you get this number?" or often times a scammer will ask why I firmly believe that they are a scam. Also on occasion they'll ask what site(s) I got the information from to indicate that they're a scam. Are we allowed to tell them that their scams are reported on 'this' website? I haven't done that yet, but sometimes the urge arises. And if not, what are the best responses to those questions?

I say I got a voice mail or a missed call. I googled the number and looked up reviews on Yelp or the BBB. They will believe anything if your voice doesn’t crack. You say it like you mean it. Always works for me. Of course most are just out to get personal info on you. Use a fake address generator. I hope this helps.

If you call them out on the scam they will tell you a million times or more it’s not.

Excellent, I never even thought about doing that. Thank you kindly for the info!

Another thing…a while back I was talking to a scammer he said he is aware his number is on websites. I don’t care. So they do google their work number. I think they deny it and work anyway.

@Angeld40#95370 No doubt about that! Usually when I do voice calls I would just start with playing the “Yes, I missed a call from this number” card and things progress on from there. And I will absolutely be telling them that their numbers are all over the internet. They usually are anyway.

@OutboundOperator#95371 you can also tell them their mom was giving out business cards with their number on it while she was working at gb road lmao:grin::grin:

@Scambaiter956#95374 LOL! Yes! I am actually going to say that the next time one of them asks. If it’s anything like SSA or tech support scum they’d probably go into a swearing fit instantly. haha

@OutboundOperator#95361 i just say i got a POPUP but before i call google an address with a ZIPCODE/POSTAL CODE

IF they dont believe it then just keep talking, i scambait just to harrass them, i keep calling till they block me and if they are fun then i change phone number and call again till they block all my resource phone numbers

i have a shitload of numbers i call from, i usually make them crazy and make them cry and scream

its lots of fun lol

@Menthelions#95420 That’s so great! Keep at it! I really wish I could scambait all day long… but having so many things going on IRL, time is very limited. I did make some calls today but none of them were upload/share-worthy.

@Menthelions#95500 I enjoyed your videos/calls thoroughly! haha Well done with these idiots, calling them out and trying to get that scammer (in the second video) to get a real job. Excellent, this is all beyond epic! Sub’d.

@OutboundOperator#95511 Well thank very Much. i tried to be as annoying as possible by eating (chicken in the background) as you heard, but my eating didnt bother him much, the cough was real lol i almost chocked lmao

i guess deploying my fake virus too early got me busted right away but since he busted me right away i thought i confront

him right away, i loved it! lol the first video was about 1 hour and half they syskeyd me about 3 times

i just restarted my VM and Restored it they were confused at the fact that syskey was not working lol

he actually admitted that 95% of them are SCAMMING lol more like 100% of them

@Menthelions#95520 You’re welcome and very well said. It’s interesting to see this stuff in action, they’ll do just about anything to try to get “paid”.

@OutboundOperator#95524

This Scammer waswilling to go to his grave denying that he was a scammer... i guess i should wait for his call tomorrow LMAO

@Menthelions#95554 LOL! Wow! Funny, he really liked that lady on the Google screen. I’m still listening + watching through. It’s intensely amazing how you do this with these guys. And they try to ask how your day is going and other nice questions + they’ll throw in some compliments to seem legit and maintain trust. Great job with keeping him on the line dude!

@Menthelions#95500 That was very entertaining! Thanks for sharing!

@Scambaiter956#95374 LOL about mom giving out business cards that’s a good belly chuckle

@Menthelions#95554 I finished listening, that was a lot of fun. Calling him out and then he comes up with 10,000 excuses why they’re not a scam that was gold! Did he call back? haha
