They are getting smarter

I have been running into scammers that are going straight to my msinfo and see it’s a VM but I use hyper V and I haven’t found anything on how to change the board and etc.

sorry if everyone already knew this. I’m new to scambaiting

@Chainsaw574#93917. I am new to scam baiting too. I have know idea what you are talking about. That makes you smart!!! Let me know

@Chainsaw574#93917 There are ways to hide your VM if they do msinfo. I use VMware and it usually says its a VM if you go to the system info, but using VMWare there are ways to hide it. Here is a good tutorial for hiding the VM using VMware if you are interested in switching to VMware. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tZVzgoWXOE&t=335s

also ms support said that they will talk to the reps about letting us do that easily on the virtual machine to help us

what they do is press (windows + R) then type “msinfo32” and it says its a Virtual machine and I did see the video but it only got me so far because i’m using Hyper-V but if you are using vmware it should work

Sorry I know its a bit late and ya’ll are probably smarter than me but I recently found an easy to use batch script to fix this exact problem, from JayMontana (GitHub - JayMontana36/vBoxSysInfoMod: VirtualBox VM System Information Modifier). I have a vast amount of tools dedicated for scambaiting not an expert by any means but I do have a few I use, I am also in the works of hunting for new tools made from our fellow scambaiters also creating some of my own.
