The Tekki Support Scam:

Last night I decided to follow my own advice and use “How to trigger Fake Technical Support scammers in 5 Easy Steps” In order to bring down this scammer organization posing as technical support agents. If you would like to obtain their phone number, please let me know and I will try and get it again (I was a moron and didn’t save it but it is most likely still in my call log). Anyway, I called these goofs and told them I was having problems uploading cat pictures onto my computer, they were confused. An Indian lady named Annie helped me. She got all my information, I told her my name was John Smith and that my Gmail account was [email protected]. At first, I thought that they would just laugh or tell me I am lying considering the fact that I am female with a “masculine” name. Being the idiots they are they didn’t notice and supposedly I am already a “registered user”. They asked me the amount I paid and my address. I told them between $200-250 but my grandpa was old so he probably paid to much by mistake, as for my address they forgot to get that from me:). Again she seemed confused and wasn’t understanding what I was saying so she put me through to her supervisor. He practically called me a liar (he obviously had an IQ of 5 whereas Annie’s could have been 0 5). I then started yelling at him and telling him he was nothing more than a “rug salesman” he got mad at me, then cursed and hung up the phone.

It was fun and I wasted their time :)!
