My grandmother was the recipient of a fraudulent “Medicare Savings Document Form” that requests her to check any benefits she is interested in saving money in and returning the letter with her signature, phone number and the age of her and her spouse. The letter was mailed by the “processing division” for an unspecified company that utilizes a PO box in Durant, Oklahoma, and a Google search for that specific PO Box reveals the true identity of the company as The Lead Connection, Inc, a fraudulent sales lead generation company listed on the Better Business Bureau as operating out of a Shamrock gas station in Denison, Texas under the leadership of Christopher W. “Chris” Etheridge
On March 2, 2015, Etheridge and his company have been ordered by Steve St. Clair, the Assistant Attorney General from the state of Iowa, to voluntarily agree to solicit and collect information from Iowa residents or be charged with violations of the state’s Consumer Fraud Act.
