The Freakin' FCC levies hefty fines for carriers not compliant with robocall mitigation database

On January 9, 2025, the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) tightened the requirements for their robocall mitigation database by requiring all companies that offer telecommunications services within the U.S. to file a certification demonstrating their plans to mitigate fraudulent robocalls on an annual basis, or they will face fines of $1,000. Any company that submits false or inaccurate information will also face fines that start at $10,000.
