These people are brutal… most instantly start swearing as soon as you reach them, even if you’re not the first one to speak.

Edit: They just ran out of credits for their SIP trunk.

As a newbie…what is an SIP trunk?

@FattyMatty#83662 To keep the explanation as simple as possible and comparable to something you most likely already know about, it’s basically comparable to a POTS (plain old telephone service) or land line that connects to the PSTN (public switched telephone network), aka your average analog (now digital) telephone network that is still used in some rural areas. Think of a SIP trunk as a virtual land line for VoIP phones/servers, but instead of having it’s own dedicated, direct circuit that runs to your local telephone provider (AT&T for example), the connection is simply made through the pre-existing internet by entering in a domain name/IP address into a privately run PBX server to tell it who to connect to (A PBX server manages the local phones and sends outbound calls to your selected SIP trunk provider and also receives calls from your provider too). Obviously, receiving inbound calls to your business - especially when using a toll-free number - isn’t free and you have to pay your provider (the SIP trunk provider) for their service, so in the situation above, (just like with cellular plans) they basically “ran out of minutes” and can’t take any more calls until they pay for more. I hope that makes sense.

@Norm_Harrison#83667 it does and it’s hilarious we shut them down

Got another voice mail from them same number at +1 (888) 440-0641
