, assuming it was the official netgear nighthawk app. It isn’t, it’s an app designed to funnel users to their “support” via an “error connecting to the router”. Once you’re on the “support” call, they tell you it’s a firewall issue and it’ll cost you $100 to set up the firewall for your devices. DO NOT FALL for this. You can get the true nighthawk app from the netgear website and the router set up is simple.
