Tech Support Scam

Indians called my friend and said that his pc is infected with a virus. He let them take remote control of his pc. They messed up his pc and charged him $200. He is a senior and has never been scammed before.

Here is their phone number: 888 867-7758

website: https://www.onestoptechnicalhelp.com/

The problem is that it requires to dial 1 and then registered phone number. Will be hard too flood them. If you guys find a way to flood them I shall be thankful.

that’s true, I don’t know either  Is there any documentation or proof for the scam? Like maybe you still have the popup link in his browsing history or a screenshot? Or maybe the money transaction somewhere says the name of the company?

I will send an abuse form to GoDaddy, their website host.

There wasn’t any pop ups. They just called him and his pc is infected with a virus. I can ask him to send me money transaction which includes the name of the scam company. Information about the dispute he requested from his bank. His bank said that the money will be refunded within 3 business days.

@timtt30#84395 yes would be awesome. Make sure it doesn’t contain any clear names when you post it here.

Maybe this link will be helpful. Many people where scammed bu the same idiots. Just read it.

One victim writes:

“This SOB was 1/2 way thru hacking my 80+ year old moms computer when I stopped by her house. He was already on her computer remotely and I pulled the plug and disconnected the router and ran a scan and fixed it for her. He already had a backdoor set up which I shut down, changed her password, and gave her a stern warning to BEWARE! Here’s the info he gave her, which I have not yet checked but likely its BS. She was getting black screens as well as pop ups saying to call him.”

Fake address: 2-248 Sterling Dr Hurricane, WV 25526

Fake names: Pau, Ashwin/Asvin, Steve Cerny

Phone numbers: 888-202-0141 (popup}

888 867-7758 888-895-4785

@NeeP#84398 NeeP. The music and greeting on hold is just like the old Geeks of Chandigarh:

(888) 895-4785

@drwat#84537 Your number there listed as “popup” works great. Just wasted there time with a bunch of calls like this:

https://www.prankdial.com/reactions/P9zKymLRe1?auto_play=1

They are:

alphatech365.com aka 365techcare.com

877-265-0739 (888) 895-4785 888 867-7758

Dial any of the numbers, when prompted for your number enter: (888) 895-4785
This gets connected to them. Seems by mistake they have (888) 895-4785 as a valid customer number.
I talked to Peter and Henry (fake Indians)

@GrandJury1#84539 Funny. I also talked to fake Indian Christine

I said there daughter kicked my dog they just said to kick her back, then I said hello and then he said “hello?” I said hi and then he blocked me…+

Thank you guys. I wish I had a phone flooding programme.

They blocked my number. *67 doesn’t help. Any suggestion?

I do use my cell phone. I have an app “auto dialer” to flood them and also “should I answer” app which won’t let any scams call me.

I usually report scams to scammer blaster website. They have already put down many phone numbers I reported them.

The problem with this scammers that it would be hard to flood them Their numbers require to enter 1 and then registered phone number. I did flood them for 20 mins until they blocked me.

@timtt30#84570 *67 doesn’t actually hide your phone number. Companies who are using tollfree numbers are still able to see your real number because they are paying for the call so they have the “right” to see who’s calling. Then they might block you or sell your number to other scammers, making you receive tons of spam calls…

For this reason it’s advised to use any internet phone service such as TextNow, Talkatone, Google Hangouts, Skype and others. These services give you a free virtual US number that you can use as disposal number.

I tried skype but can’t reach them. It says your call cannot be completed

i never let scammers take control of my device. i dont want them to fuck it up.

use a virtual machine, firewall, and vpn for max security. I’ll admit, I only use the first 2, but I’ll switch to all 3 when I’m out of college.
