scammers' phone number on page: 1-860-397-6011

I reported this page to Microsoft.

@o__o#128857 Thank you for this. I lost on this one. I managed to get some victim information when the scammer connected to me. Unfortunately the poor guy had already bought $300 worth of Ebay gift cards. I had the card numbers so I contacted Ebay and asked them if they could see if there was something on it. And the scammers had already used it. I was too late. They couldnt reverse the charge. I spoke with the victim and he seemed to just want to cut his loss. I helped him as much as I could. They installed a remote software on his computer that locked the input I had him restart his computer. I just told him to leave his computer unplugged for a day since he couldnt figure out where the remote software was. Also, Ebay told me that I would basically have to file a report with the FBI on those gift card numbers to have them investigated. I dont have the necessary information and like I mentioned before the victim just wanted to cut his losses. I feel heartbroken, like I could have done more. But it seems I was to late. F those guys.

Both numbers active Sunday evening

@Snipez#128873, here’s a protip for helping out a victim:

try to tell the victim that these scammers are criminals, who have malicious intent, & that he or she must turn off their computer immediately.

as they do have remote access to his or her pc

also tell the victim to not buy any gift cards
as scammers often use money from gift cards

props to you for trying to stop the gift cards from going through.
