Say you got a pop-up saying that your computer had a virus and your credit card information was being stolen.

called them, let them connect to my computer with the usual windows key+r, www.fastsupport.com etc etc. Once he connected I had 3 tabs open, one being their assist page and the other 2 being a wikipedia page on “tech support scamming” (didn’t mind him seeing it) and Pornhub because why not. He connects and opens the wiki tab and immediately closes it, he then does the usual “Event Viewer” errors and such, he then asks me to hold and comes back telling me “You need to visit a mental hospital and get help thats how your computer will fix itself” and hungs up lol.
Was my first ever call so I’m quite proud I was able to waste 20 minutes of his time.
