Scammer will claim an “attempt of hacking” took place within the past 48 hours, prompting you to connect to the “Secure Server of the Microsoft” through QuickAssist. Otherwise, they’ll have you run UltraViewer.

Just called and spent 42 minutes with the person. Here’s a rundown:
Called the original number, they thought I was Progi. The guy seemed cold.
After, they connected through QuickAssist and then went through UltraViewer.
Doing normal scammer things, running tree, saying I have been on porn websites and that’s why I’ve been hacked.
After this, they had me check my bank, then stated csrss.exe was a trojan, then called me back from their “secure” hotline, which was just a Google Voice
Then they ran MRT, and started that scan. Asked to call my “bank” so I did, but nothing more than that. Eventually, he said to not use the computer for 3-5 hours, not to save passwords, etcetera. Got friendly near the end surprisingly. Never asked for a CC or any sort of payment.
While typing this: They JUST called me back saying to be available in 2-3 hours for my computer…
