HIGHLIGHTS FROM VIRTUAL MACHINE BAIT:
- The scammer, “Adam,” will ask for my name and email address before transferring my call to “Daniel.”
- “Daniel” had me hold down the ESC key for 5 seconds, “open the Microsoft Edge” and go to 671.is (Code: 356203284, IP: 139.84.132.20
) to download RemotePC HelpDesk. - Once the scammer remotely connects to your computer, they will run msinfo36 and hung up, so I finished him off with the bhenchod song.
The IP address also hosts Waredot Password Manager, which is registered by Minds Insider Ltd., in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria via NameCheap on December 10, 2020 (Updated November 16, 2023) - Whois waredot.com
