HIGHLIGHTS FROM VIRTUAL MACHINE BAIT:
- The scammer, “Brian Lockheart,” claimed an “attempt of hacking” took place within the past 48 hours, prompting you to install “Microsoft Temporary Securities” by opening Task Manager, going to the desktop and running UltraViewer. As the scammer had difficulty hearing me, he called back from his Google Voice line (727) 248-0568.
- After remotely connecting to my computer, the scammer attempted to “scan” my network, computer and laptop by having me run “dir/s” from the Command Prompt.
- Once the scan is complete, the scammers will claim your phone line wasn’t secure and that 11 hackers from Ohio, China and Moscow used your network to ILLEGALLY PUIRCHASE CHILD PORN FROM PORNHUB!
- The scammer will then convert your network to the “Microsoft Secure Line” and forward your call to a “senior supervisor” who posed as an agent with my bank. As I do not have a bank account, I instead played the bhenchod song.
