Level 3 number carried via Skype with a caller ID of “Tutorz, LLC.” Baiting with virtual machine.

Looks like a Windows 95 image in the popup lol

HIGHLIGHTS FROM VIRTUAL MACHINE BAIT:

  • The scammer answered as “Suppoat for Windows” and said that he will call back within 10 to 15 minutes. I called the number back and “Alan” asked me to “connect to the Microsoft Secure Server” by running AnyDesk.
  • Once “Alan” remotely connected to my virtual machine,
  • The “suppoat and 1-month security” costs $300, and the scammers reluctantly accepts checks to “Microsoft Suppoat” at a nonexistent street address in West Babylon, New York. A photocopy of the “check” must be sent via SMS to “Alan’s” personal phone line, which was never revealed to me.
  • I called back a third time, and the number was no longer in service.

I love when they use AnyDesk. Let’s the scambaiter connect back to their computer easily and start deleting stuff. Kind of like TeamViewer.

The scammer never used AnyDesk when I baited him.

so im going to guess you ratted him

No, I don’t rat scammers. If I was able to, I would gladly destroy call centers with the MEMZ trojan.
