@AussieScamBuster#94849 Yep… This one is currently working… I didn’t have my mike plugged in so just played some random sound effects. Getting mike to mess with them.
@AussieScamBuster#94852 yeah, i think some of these numbers belong to a third party who places ads and charges to route them to your scam call center.
when there aren't any active campaigns, the calls are forwarded to LifeProtect 24/7, addiction services, or the free cruise people, who presumably pay the scamlords a fee when they get a successful referral
many campaigns like this seem to work this way: if you pick up the phone when they call, a scammer is on the other end. if you miss the call and call back the number from your caller ID, even one second later, it always goes to one of the U.S. telemarketing operations
@AussieScamBuster#94852 Oh my gosh. I called them back later and yes, now its a gift card scam.
Even though I challenged him (1st and 2nd guy) in the last 30 minutes they still reckon they are in Sandiago CA (Forgive my spelling as not from the usa).
I asked him what side of the road they drive on in the usa… He said the left
And the steering wheel is on the left as well (true).
After I challenged him more he reckons he doesn’t drive even though he’s 23 and doesn’t take note of it when he’s traveling in the vehicle.
About 1 hour of their time burnt. Amazing...
Listen in if you like from the 30 minute mark
