Two dozen plus were very active within arms reach though.
We’d taken down the 27 numbers that were within an 82 number range of each other, not long after I’d located them all. They own several hundred numbers around this general area and frequent them on the usual rotation around many thousands of other numbers.
Tracking them is quite easy to do. I chase them all over the numbering plan each day and greet them wherever they set up camp for the day.
Many hundred number choices they make end in tears for them every day.
Intelligence isn’t high on their list of life skills.
Having a large toll free phone bill for the many thousands of calls they’re inundated with very rapidly is what they achieve for their days efforts.
I raise a smile at them choding and screaming at no-one on the other end of the line for sometimes 20 minutes, as the cost for the boss heads skyward rapidly. Their “federally recorded line” recordings must be so precious for the boss to listen to their lack of brain cells on display.
There was every refund scam script amongst all the numbers they parked their carcasses on in this block

There was one really amusing call centre crew 40 odd numbers down from the listed number who couldn’t decide whether they were running the Norton or McAfee script.
The sideshow clowns obviously didn’t get the same memos before the start of their comedy act.
They were hit with a serious amount of calls while desperately trying to set up a 2 digit dynamic ivr to stop the hammering they were getting.
They were hemorrhaging lots of US dollars

Smashing through a 5 digit dynamic ivr is still child’s play.
I have a takeaway trophy recording for their efforts in futility.
All that was audible amongst the kicking and screaming was the credit warning being played.
The last I heard before silence fell upon them was “You have Zero dollars, eight cents credit remaining”
