Teamviewer, Anydesk, etc

This is just a bit of a rant and a thought that I had.

Why the hell do legitimate companies such as Teamviewer, Anydesk, Supremo, etc, not do more to create awareness?

Why don't they have giant places on their websites that clearly say "legitimate companies such as Microsoft and Apple will never ask for access to your computer. Beware of scammers using our product."

It annoys me how these companies do genuinely nothing to attempt to stop scammers from using their product. Of course you can report a scammer's code, but there is nothing to help actually stop the scams.

For example, if when downloading Teamviewer, if they added a small popup window that explained and created awareness about techsupport scams, imagine how much help that would be.

Obviously the scammers would simply move to a different platform, but if all the major remote control platforms started creating awareness about technical support scams, it would definitely annoy the scammers and give them a run for their money.

This was just a thought that I had. I'd love to know some other thoughts and opinions if you have any.

@sweetener#134197 team viewer used to have a feature where if a indian IP connects it would send a window saying possible scammer I’m not sure if it was removed or I saw a few use a vpn to bypass it

@grabscammersip#134200 It had to have been removed. I’ve been able to do what your name is lol, on the current version of teamviewer.

@sweetener#134197 Your “rant” well justified. I would also suggest that these companies show the IP address of the remote party.
