Happy New Year crime fighters!
Got this call on 1/2/2026 9:02 am central time. Rang once and went straight to voicemail. Here is a copy of the voicemail transcript:

“Hi it’s Catherine Sloan calling on Friday the second from the final extended review department at the tax support and resolution center your file remains pending review as we begin the new year and the extended 2025 relief window is nearing his end after this period 2026 relief availability is not guaranteed many individuals are still qualifying for reduced balances or full resolution but this opportunity will close soon please return my call today at 888-445-2813 again 888-445-2813 if you no longer need assistance press two when calling back…”

I got the same calls last week. When I dial, there is a brief message and I am instructed to press one. The line then hangs up.

They were certainly trying to steal people’s hard earned nonexistent tax debt. Now when I call and skip the recording it just hangs up on me.
They seem to be upset. I’ll try back later.
