On September 18, 2025, police in Binghamton, New York arrested 51-year-old Tao Zeng and 36-year-old Zhilei Wu from Flushing, New York for serving as money mules for an undisclosed scam operation. The two were arrested after attempting to steal $30,000 from an elderly female and fleeing the scene on foot to evade arrest.
The two have since been charged with 3rd-degree grand larceny and 5th-degree conspiracy, which can lead to up to 7 years in state prison
