NEW NUMBERS:
- (575) 232-9180 (PEERLESS, used to send a voicemail)
- (888) 355-2302 (Triplelink)
The scammers are doing business as “the tax group at debt-free solutions” or the “financial hardship enrollment center.” The scammers sent the following voicemail to my Google Voice line:
“For questions, or to call us back at a later time. You can reach us at 888-355-2302. We apologize for the interruption, but it seems that during our last interaction you failed to complete an application or schedule your free consultation with one of our advisors our notes indicate that the nature of our last interaction involved delinquent or past due state or federal taxes. If you’re available now for your consultation or to schedule it for another time, please press one. If you’re no longer interested, please note that this removal will not affect any pending applications or requests in process.”
When I called the (888) number, the agents answered as “Tax Group” in regards to the IRS Fresh Start Program. But when I called the (575) number, I was asked to press 2 for debt refinancing or consolidation, press 4 to settle delinquent taxes or 6 for student loans.
