this joker called me to give me a student loan. entered my VM and saw that it was a VM and disconnected
@solgajazz#122752 Interesting how a student load scammer wanted to connect to you computer… I couldn’t quite tell what service they offered, but when I called the phone number an Indian man answered with lots of noise in the background, saying hello very fast a few times in a row.
this is extremely strange. They claimed to be a bank called First Financial Bank in Columbus, Ohio. I looked up the bank and it is a legitimate bank. The bank has a page on their website warning against these calls. These callers are using a real and trustworthy bank as a trojan horse to scam people.
@Norm_Harrison#122777 yeah i held onto him as long as i could. the calling quit a couple hours ago. I get these guys all day. a lot do the IRS scam and the student loan thing. I know they are scripted and i know the name of the guy that used to own my phone number. This guy was pushing for info hard. should i post the other numbers here or is there another area?

@solgajazz#122786 I see, I also know someone who gets repeated calls from similar ‘companies’ looking for the previous owner of his cell phone number. As for posting new numbers, it’s best to create a new discussion each time and apply the correct tags so things can stay organized.
