“Allison Miller” claiming that I have had significant changes to federal student loan repayments from the “Processing Department”. I paid off my student loan decades ago, so it’s obviously a scam.
We got the same call today. Glad I found this forum and didn’t call back. Same name and story.
On 9/26/19 at 10:42am EST, I received a call from 949-288-5760. I didn’t answer. A voicemail was left that says:
“Hi this is Allison Miller calling in from the Processing Department. I'm so sorry if you're busy. Um, I just have some fantastic news. It looks like there's been some significant changes to your federal student loan repayment options. So if you can give me a call back as soon as possible today that would be great. My direct phone number is (949) 288-5752. Again that is (949) 288-5752. Also, if you could have your reference number ready that would be awesome. Your reference number is 70742. Thank you and I look forward to speaking with you.” Please don't fall for this because it is definitely a SCAM!!!
Thank you for sharing your experience with this number and the so called Allison Miller. I do have student loans that my daughter took out under my name that I agreed she could do. I still owe around 6, 500 so I wasnt sure it was true but after seeing this forum and the exact message left on my phone i will definitely not call it back. I am going to block it.
